Malaysian first when convenient
It namely favor a trend these days, everywhere I go, hyperventilating zealous people aloud publicize that they are Malaysians first and that one must reject all notions of marathon. Then they shout slogans and fancy catchphrases and dress a certain coloured shirt as if the cultural revolution is here.
I like loud passionate people, I am actually one of them. But having inhaled a few morsels of cut gas and then bragging about it at the Bangsar Shopping Centre Coffee Bean the quite afterward day doesnt really make you many of a revolutionary soldier.
Anyway it got me calculating. You see I am one of those folk who some of you love to chastise, because I dont think myself Malaysian premier. So at some DAP political standard that means I am prepared to stab irregular non-Malays with my “keris” and scald vernacular schools once Umno triumphs 2/3rd bulk.
But here is the object. Ask anyone PAS politician if they are Malaysian first or Muslim first? I bet you they are not going to mention Malaysian, so if we apply the same standard, by being Malay first makes you a racist, then Muslim ahead Malaysian makes you a religious extremist right?
So in my circumstance, I am a Muslim Malay from Malaysia, a alignment of Osama Bin Laden and Adolf Hitler. It is even more ironic when talking to these passionate proponents of Malaysian first, that some of them idolise American civilian action leaders like Malcolm X, who ironically identified himself as one Afro American
It gets even more incongruous while I began attending some of these so phoned “Malaysian” themed forums and talks where the panelists talk in English and in most cases, they cant competently speak alternatively express their minds in the National Language.
It is not that Im belittling those who expresses their ideas in English, there is nobody wrong with that, it is fair that when a person who cant even produce a decent dialectic in the National Language already at the same time giving me a lecture above creature a Malaysian, I ascertain that sort of scenario something really hard to digestion. Have you ever listened a proud loyal inhabitant of France who cant speak decent French?
So it was via this accumulation of comical observations that I came to the conclusion that many, not all, dont really comprehend nor even aspire to be a true nationalist, preferably most only opt to be Malaysian when it is convenient
